OASIS have been awarded the 'Top Rock' accolade at the Top of the Pops awards.
The band beat off competition from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd to take the 'gong'.
After puzzlingly being mostly overlooked at other recent award ceremonies, the award rounds off what has been a resurgent year for the band.
The event, held at the Manchester Arena in front of a 10,000 strong crowd, was not attended by the band, but a pre-recorded acceptance video was played.
